Carolina Estrada García, candidate psychologue à Montréal, approche intégrative, thérapie individuelle et ACT chez Vers Soi

Carolina Estrada García is a candidate for the title of psychologist in Quebec. In individual therapy, she uses an integrative approach combining a psychodynamic perspective and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), which stems from cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT). She also helps individuals relate more effectively to their thoughts and emotions while moving toward a life that aligns more closely with their values. She supports people with issues such as anxiety, stress, emotional overload, self-confidence and self-esteem, relational or family difficulties, life transitions, loss or separation, emotional management and affect regulation, as well as psychological impacts related to health or vulnerable situations.

She particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents, creating a playful, safe, and developmentally appropriate space where they can express their emotions, build skills, and feel understood.

She works with couples using the ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) approach.

She is also training in ACT applied to eating disorders, with the goal of helping individuals develop a more peaceful relationship with food, weight, and body image.

She offers a safe and compassionate space, in Spanish and French, to explore emotions, strengthen resilience, and move toward lasting well-being.

She has also worked to promote the adaptation and integration of migrant families, as well as supporting women in vulnerable situations, with a focus on mental health, empowerment, and transitions related to motherhood.

Trained in third-generation behavioral therapies—ACT, DBT, behavioral activation, and mindfulness—her practice emphasizes acceptance of the human experience, connection to values, and building a meaningful life. She seeks to provide a safe and empathetic space where each person can explore their experience, recognize their resources and move forward towards a richer and more fulfilling life.
